Christmas Eve 2015

While most people look forward to a big Christmas feast with turkey, mash, gravy & the likes.... Or something really luxurious as a treat for themselves. I didn't eat none of that - pizza & Somersby was what I had.

Most people also choose to spend their time with family members, which is normal and understandable. But I went to meet my best friend instead then proceeded to spend the entire day with her, when I wasn't taking a nap that is. HAHAH.

Then, since it is a public holiday today, it isn't a surprise that many would choose to spend the day out & about. Yet the both of us decided to spend our time by the pool indulging in food & beer.

Only for two.
This was what we got from Papa John's even though the only ones eating everything is two of us. We got two sets of four mini pizzas - which translates to EIGHT small size pizzas. Then because greediness exists within our minds, we also got chicken poppers and pineapple & kaya rolls for dessert.

Something quite funny and rather amazing happened too. So Bo asked for three packets of garlic sauce because according to her it's super good, it costs Rm 1 each. When we left after collecting our take-out order, she told me to check if they gave us everything we ordered.

They definitely did & added something extra too. There was an entire pack of garlic sauces, about nine of them for us to douse our pizzas in. IT WAS FOR FREE WHAT EVEN. But it is true, the sauce was hella good and the earlier three that we purchased was most definitely not enough for us two. Not with the way we were just pouring it over our pizza slices.

This is our first box of pizzas.

Then the second.

Now looking at the picture and remembering how full I was yesterday, I firmly believe that we ordered way too much for the both of us. In hindsight, one box would have most definitely been enough.

But we wouldn't be who we are if we have so much self-restraint.

After stuffing our faces full comes the fun time... Getting in the pool.

I was actually really glad that there wasn't any sun that afternoon. Although it wasn't hot and sunny, the water was super cold which you could imagine to be super nice. Ideally yes.

In actual fact, the both of us sat in the water just shivering from how cold it was while we tried to ignore the noisy kids. Relaxing but also not quite.

Honestly if I really wouldn't mind spending most of my time by the pool - sans the beer and add in a good book. Or two.

In my mind that is such a perfect way to de-stress and just forget about everything in the world. Then properly immersing myself into a whole new fantasy which is such an introvert thing to say. Heh.

Though I am glad that my best friend spent the entire Christmas eve with me. Even if I did spend a good chunk of the time sleeping because I'm a terrible drunk. Gotta thank my lucky stars to have Bo as a friend who understands me better than anyone else does. ((=

Aaaaanyway, I intended this to be a mini update on what's been going on. Or more of what I got up to that's eventful enough to write a blogpost about. Spent a good chunk of my day editing pictures and writing this, though I did end up stopping every now & then to watch Harry Potter. I'm on a marathon again because I can and I want to. :3

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! I wish you all the best and also an early happy new year!

Santa baby, I want a yacht and really, that's not a lot.
I've been an angel all year.
So hurry down the chimney tonight.

Been listening to this cover by Daniela Andreda - am rather in love with her Christmas album. It really put me in the mood this year and this is my favourite lyric out of all the songs. If you know me well enough then you'd understand why, but if you do not get it then maybe someday I'll tell you about it.

But until then, bye for now. <3 p="">

End of November

My last weekend of November in a nutshell....

1. Went to a GlamGlow's Christmas special event with Leena. It's the first of their event which I have attended by Sephora ever since I've gotten the special black card membership.

Look, I'm sexy 'candid'. Or at least that was the point of this photo.

 Yes, I'm sexy, thanks. #noshame

Finally got to see what the hype about GlamGlow is all about. I've heard and read plenty of raved reviews about this range of masks - would have bought one for myself to try too if the price tag on it was not so crazily high.

=======================================

2. Finally tried the pretty looking sandwich combo from Le Pont with the best mates. Love love love the interior decorations.

The sandwiches looked as pretty as the many pictures I've seen of it. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectation taste wise which left me quite disappointed at the end of the day.

I ate all that carbs but totally not worth it.

But I do love the truffle fries that came with the sandwich. That was the first thing I went for when the food arrived and haven't stopped craving for them since then.

With Leena and Meng taking the picture.
Honestly missed spending time just chilling and catching up with them.

Two of them have been so busy with university work till they hadn't much free time to just hang out. Which was weird for me because I was so used to meeting the both of them almost weekly during their summer holidays. That's over now and it's just tons of assignments & tests for them.

Which makes me secretly glad to not have any. *evil snicker*

Written by yours truly
Here's another thing that made my week.... It's an article I wrote for the Sun Daily and probably one of the first times my writing has ever seen the light of day. So to see it published makes me feel super proud of myself.

I'm hoping that there'd be more opportunities like these in the future.

So far November has been amazing for me and now that it's come to an end, I can't help but feel really grateful for all that has happened. This whole year has its ups & down but this month was, for the lack of a better word, awesome.

At the risk of sounding stupidly cliche, I wish December and the last month of 2015 to be equally as good too.

Packing List! || Travel Series by Stickerrific

I don't know about everyone else, but I have a list of things that I just absolutely detest. Not gonna lie, it is not a very short one ranging from the smallest possible thing to something bigger.

Then there's something that I'm sure a few of us are absolutely against and that is packing for a holiday. PACKING YOUR LUGGAGE. Whether it is just for several days or longer, it's the worst kind of anxiety to be feeling just before you leave the house.

Every time before and after packing I just have this feeling like I am missing out something. But for some weird reason I can never for the life of me figure out what is is. Even though I often times over-pack because I am a firm believer in over-packing than under-packing, I'd still feel as if I have left something of importance.

By the time I actually remember what I left behind, I'm already out of the house and on the way towards my holiday destination. It's obviously too late to get my missing item at that point so I'll have to learn to make do. -.-

That's super irritating and there really isn't anything that I can do to overcome this problem. At least not until recently I discovered something that makes my packing time a whole lot easier.

Website.
Thanks to Stickerrific! I heard about this store from Beatrice, the same one that told me about the Calligraphy & Watercolour class.

It should come as no surprise that someone like her would be the one to introduce me to this store since she loves arts & crafts, something which this store offers a lot of things for. On top of that, it's location is rather near to her university so she can drop by whenever she has the time to.

I can't exactly remember why she introduced me to Stickerrific - but if I'm not wrong, it has something to do with the owner's cute kitty which Bea took pictures of one day. So that's how I found out about them and have been following their Instagram feed for the pretty things which is posted every now and then.

Since I've still yet to visit the actual store just yet, I mostly just browse through their items via their website. Sometimes I can spend hours on there just window shopping and dreaming of when I start being more artistic on paper. Plus everything is so pretty that it's rather therapeutic just looking at all the things that are for sale.

All the art tools you need.
These are some of the things you can find on their website. There are also workshops & classes offered too if you're interested in picking up a new skill. :)

Also I really like how the entire page is simply designed without any frills or over the top decorations. AND! Every item is categorized so that it's easier for the shopper to find what they need without sifting through a lot of pages with things that they aren't looking for.

As always, I was just scrolling through the latest product section - since I really wasn't looking to buy anything in particular. That's when I saw something that instantly caught my attention and immediately I knew that this would be something I definitely need in my life.

Even if I am not an avid traveler. Yet.

A FULL FREAKING PACKING LIST. All written down beautifully for you without missing out anything, including the things you would like to have in your hand luggage as well. WTF!

This way it would be almost impossible to miss out anything anymore since I have a complete checklist. Not only is the entire thing super pretty, the list is really detailed as well.

Description.
Thank you Artsunami for making this list to help nervous packers like myself to not leave anything behind. ;_;

I got this just in time before I leave for another trip - which I realized a day before I have to depart that it is quite a nightmare having to pack. In the end, I got another pad for my best friend since she travels way more than I do and has almost the same hatred against packing as I do.

What was really amazing about Stickerrific's swift delivery was when the goods finally arrived. Unfortunately I was too excited at work and just ripped my package open before taking proper pictures of it.

After waiting a few days, my order finally arrived! So just imagine a pretty candy-cane coloured string prettily wrapped around the packing list ohkay - that's how it initially looked like. Only I really have no idea how to tie it the way it originally was.

It was sweet of Sze Too to add in a few extra little treats for me. The flowers were mini stickers which I presume is for me to create a travel scrapbook or do something artistic with them. I have yet to find a use for these pretties at the moment but hopefully that will change and until then, they'll stay in my notebook.

Thank you note from Sze Too.
Also, I have probably mentioned this somewhere before but I enjoy receiving little thank you notes with my purchase. Call this a #foreveralone thing but I haven't received them in a very long time and I remember a dear friend Ashlyn writing me several back in college. That made me super happy. :3

And to see that the founder of Stickerrific took time to write a simple note put a big smile on my face. Somehow that makes me feel slightly special. So this, I have to give her lots of points just for that.

Thank you Sze Too! I loved the packing list, helped me so much!

It is so detailed. There's even a small column for important items that you would want to bring with you in your hand-luggage.

Now I no longer have to spend the journey to my holiday destination worrying about leaving anything important behind. All thanks to this check-list.

I love having lists, even more when I don't have to write them out myself.

Stickerrific instagram feed.
Also, don't forget to follow them on Instagram to check up on what's their latest product. Or just to see some pretty art and perhaps Sze Too's pet kitties who are adorably named Luke & Leia. They are so cute because sometimes she ties pretty scarfs around their necks and takes gorgeous pictures of them.

Hopefully soon I will have saved up enough to attend the watercolour class that is offered at their store. Which also gives me an excuse to drop by their shop at Jaya One to survey all the pretty artsy things that are offered. :3

Do visit them at:

CLOSETStyles Blogger Fashion & Food Bazaar 2015

So over a weekend, I dragged a friend with me to the bazaar organised by ClosetStyles. My reason was that I was looking for something nice and cheap to buy - a girl can never say no to too many clothes. Even if my wardrobe is starting to run out of space by the day.

As is with my book shelf. But who cares, right? :3

Picture from Facebook.
But in truth, I was secretly excited to meet a few of our very own local bloggers whose blog I have been reading for several years now. TEEHEHE. Among the few that I was looking forward to meet was Audrey of Fourfeetnine, Cheesie and also Sue Lyn the writer of Bangsar Babe.

Also Careen, the gorgeous mama to be, who I have not met in years.

Would have been a beautiful day if not for the terrible haze. It was so bad that my sinus was acting up so badly. I was sneezing every few minutes and sniffling the entire day which gave me quite a headache by night time.

INDONESIA WHY YOU SO CRUEL TO BURN TREES AND OUR LUNGS?

The event was held at Brolly's which I have heard and read about, but never got the chance to visit. It really isn't that hard to miss because there's a giant red bus right in front of the restaurant. Since neither Reu and I had eaten anything yet, we went to grab something to eat first before we lost ourselves in the cheap clothes.

.......
............
....................

Ohkay fine, it's less of the former but more of before I get lost in the shopping moment and forget to eat. Happy now? -.-

Brolly's concept is really interesting. They have several menus which seems like they are from different restaurants that have all merged into one - whether it is so, I am not sure. But everything is cooked in the same kitchen from what I could tell.

Though I do like that they had various cuisines to offer. There was southern cuisine, steakhouse western kinda food, asian fusion and also Japanese. The latter option even offers a competition where you have to finish a giant portion of curry rice & be put on the wall of fame to be immortalized for the coming days.
Be warned, you have to finish a 1kg plate of rice AND the curry that it comes with. Omg how?

A mini 'how to' guide to seafood. The southern way.
I got a bit too distracted by the southern style seafood menu from Crab Factory, SS2, especially since it was at the very front. They offered many kinds of seafood boils and also Po Boys which I've never tried before.

All the deep fried goodness. :3
There was an internal struggle as I was scanning through this page. My stomach screamed yes at everything that was on here, especially the sight of perfectly fried wedges and fries. But the vain side of me was yelling NO because those are everything I shouldn't be eating - fat fried and carbs. Two things I should be avoiding so my waist (and bum) do not continue expanding.

Eventually I caved in cause I have no willpower against temptation, especially when it comes to food. Though, it was a Saturday and I deserve a damn cheat day so there. (excuses, she says)

Complimentary caramel popcorn from Brolly's
Well since I was going to indulge in fat food, I might as well go all the way and get myself a coke anyway. Plus I was not willing to spend Rm6 on a bottle of mineral water so there you have it, super Chinese right down to the bone.

We were served warm Caramel Popcorn while we waited for our food. This was complimentary - but I do not know if it's for every day as long as you dine there or it was specially just for that very day. A quick check showed that they do have a popcorn stand there all the time so perhaps they do..?

If that were the case then I commend their idea a lot, gives us diners something to nibble on before our meals arrived. Which was what the bae and I were doing while we chatted.

It was super good! Every popped kernel was coated nicely in sweet caramel which was super indulgent and almost better than popcorn that you could get elsewhere. I think it may even be better than my favorite kind from TGV cinemas which is saying a lot. And I especially like that it was warm cause it came freshly made. YUMS.

Cajun flavoured Wedges by Crab Factory [Rm 7.90]
You should have seen my face when this arrived to our table. Having gone without having wedges for a long while (aside from those I bake at home) this basket was as close as paradise as I could get.

I really liked how the each wedge was fried to absolute perfection while the inside of it was fluffy. Though, I have to say that this seems more like the frozen kinds you can get from the supermarket which is a tiny bit disappointing considering the price tag.

Though I guess, given how nice and crispy it was plus with the added Cajun flavourings, it's actually pretty alright. I still finished this happily that day.

Lambogarlic by Nove 9 [Rm26.00]
The name was probably a big reason why we ordered this pizza to share. Quite catchy eh?

It's not too hard to guess what toppings this pizza came with aside from the obvious cheese. Lamb sausages & mince as well as garlic sauce on top of a pizza that was not in any way doughy.

This I liked a lot because it had all of my favourite things pilled on top of a nice crispy dough. Every time I order Dominos, this is the kind of crust that I would go for which I think is the NY crust and the one at Brolly's definitely tops my usual order by an arm's length.

After getting our bellies filled with good food and spending like almost a good two hours just catching up, it was time for the both of us to head out and do some mini shopping. Thankfully for me there wasn't too many people since being in a crowd drives me near mad.

This was the first store that we stopped at first which sold those temporary tattoos. Also I am a big derp and can't remember for the life of me what the name of this was. ;_; I am a fail blogger. But we probably spent the longest time there because we were spoiled for choice.

This table be hipster. LOL. I try to be punny.
LOOK AT ALL THOSE DESIGNS.

Just trying to pick one to buy was difficult enough especially for someone that's as indecisive as me. But that also made me itch to get inked again. Like an actual one, even though I already got a new tatt for my birthday this year.

Eventually I got the gold one with the angel wings. That looks amazing and it came with many other smaller designs that looked nice & tribal-ly. I just wish I was smart enough to get the details of the store so I can tag them but I really blanked at the time, I'm blaming it on the haze that irritated my sinus so badly that it distracted me terribly. (EXCUSES PLENTY)

Finally we decided to walk along the stretch of stalls that had been set up by the other bloggers. I spot a few that I was very familiar with as I read their blog most of the time - such as KampungboyCityGal, CherrieMun, Cheeserland, BangsarBabe and also FourFeetNine.

I might be a little incorrect here but.... I believe the bloggers had the choice to either donate most or all of their proceeds from the event to charity, or keep it for themselves.

I remember that I saw a banner on a rack that said that Amber Chia would be selling her clothes and donating all of the money to a foundation that helps breast cancer patients. Coming from a family where an aunt of mine survived the sickness, I thought it was pretty amazing and also that this event was done for a good cause.

Careen Tan. Pic Credit from Facebook.
Look at all the shoes and clothes that she was selling off, among several other things like sunglasses & also the #GirlBoss book which I was tempted to buy but didn't. Though at the end of the day I only went home with two packs of the temporary tattoos and a full belly from the good food at Brolly's.

AND YET, I don't know why I still decided to stop by McD's before heading home after to get some Chicken Nuggets to try the new French Cheese dip and also some Spinach Pie. Then continue catching up with Reuben because we have plenty to talk about since I haven't seen him for months now.

And no, I don't want to hear how entirely unhealthy my meal at Maccers is. Plus I do not want to hear how terrible the spinach pie is even though I slightly agree since I can easily make it myself. I liked it and that was a Sunday, I can eat anything I want when it's the weekend.

But before leaving, there's something important that I had to do and that was....... TAKE PICTURES.

Photo taken with my iPhone 6.
OOTD shot in front of the event banner. Here's what I was wearing:

Black Lace Romper: Online shop.
Messenger Bag & Ankle Strap Shoes: Twenty3
Blue Leaf Necklace: Lovisa

Funny thing is, this was the only picture that I liked out of the many that was taken at that spot. Even so I can see that my hair is in a mess and I was also somewhat un-prepared. But this picture is definitely better than the others that was taken and if you look a little closely, you can see why.

Let me put them up side by side so you can see what I am talking about.

All the fail.
The wind was really not co-operating with me at all. It didn't help that the wind was coming from my left which just messes up my fringe entirely. But this romper makes me look so slim and that makes me happy, so have a barrage of pictures of me trying to look good. (no shame at all)

You can tell I was not too happy by the second picture as I try to keep my hair away from my face long enough for a picture. Then the bae snapped a shot which resulted in my grumpy expression but, I gotta give him props cause he somehow has this really amazing ability of capturing moments. I officially dub him as my number 1 photographer. :3

SEE WHAT I MEAN THOUGH. Hair. In mah face.

But I also like this picture even if half of my face is not visible. No thanks to the jackass wind that did nothing other than mess up my attempt at taking a nice OOTD shot and also blow more of the terrible haze in our general direction.

Thanks, but no thanks. -.-

Unfortunately I did not get an opportunity to steal a pic or two of the bloggers. They were doing their own thing and I really didn't want to interrupt cause I feel that is quite rude of me. Also there were a few bloggers that were not present or perhaps they arrived at a later time only because I left before midday.

However, I did get a picture with someone else.....

Stole a picture of the Bae.
Thanks for spending the entire day with me, Reu! This just makes me miss all of our driving adventures before and after enduring hours of law classes together. ;_;

And that's the end of this post which means goodbye for now!

Expectation VS Reality.

Here's a little musing of mine from something that I stumbled across while mindlessly scrolling through Facebook during work. Look away if you do not have an appetite for satire or sarcasm. :3

Something my blog will be full of actually....

Sorry, not really sorry.
ANYWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~

This was being shared (quite a number of times actually) and it got me thinking....

Sounds like and looks a dream, yes?
Truthfully, my attention went to the house first and the random person riding a white horse at the edge of the picture rather than the caption. Immediately a part of me went 'yes, I wouldn't mind living like that', and coming from a true blue city girl you know shit is real.

I mean look picture this for a second - a damn nice cosy home by the lake (which hopefully has ZERO mosquitoes breeding there) with a husky to keep me company, a horse to go our riding on and also wifi. Cause you know, to get on Tumblr and Youtube, that is clearly needed. Not bad right?

Also, this really reminds me of the movie with Keanu Reeves where he falls in love with a tenant of his current home via love letters and then finds out that they live in two different years. There had been a big confusion in the middle with them being of two different times yet have already met and yet not quite so. Confusing but absolutely romantic because at the end, they end up together anyway.

Imagine meeting the love of your life as handsome as Keanu & live together happily ever after on a gorgeous lake house. YES PLEASE, THANK YOU. Shut up, one can dream.

But let's think realistically about the idea as a whole......

1. Shutting off mobile phone.

Yeah right, like that is ever going to happen for real.... This will never last for me; at least not for more than a couple of hours before I start breaking out in a rash and start having a mini panic attack for disconnecting with the world.

Sometimes going cold turkey isn't exactly the best idea.

2. Sell my car.

Not that it is actually mine to sell, though I am not too sure about this. Cause on one hand the money can definitely go to buying the dream lake house (or else I could probably only afford like a square feet of the place) even if my secondhand MyVi isn't going to earn me much.

Ideal lake house found online. Little kayak optional.
Though if  I live here...... The sold MyVi is starting to sound really worth it.

Then OMG, what if the market or stores is really far away from where I live? It wouldn't be a surprise since places like these are usually placed in quite secluded parts of the woods that is far from civilisation. We've watched enough movies to know that.

You don't expect me to ride the horse to get groceries or sundries? That's crazy and also not fair to the poor creature having to carry extra weight on top of doing more exercise than necessary.

3. Move to a cabin in the woods.

Maybe overseas this is a good idea cause the weather is nice and the scenery is too. At least that's what I presume from pictures & movies - but then again you know how the saying goes the grass is always greener on the other side....

But yeah just think of all the mosquitoes (which our country is full of, especially the aedes kind), lizards and different kinds of bugs that range from small to freaking gigantic in size. Also the creepy, cold and gross looking lizards! Have I mentioned those already cause that is a big big big BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGG issue. Plus those that grow in the wild are infinitely bigger and uglier than those that are breeding in our house right now. No thank you.

I am also guessing that you will be sooooo far from everyone and everything. So no internet, phone and also nobody nearby. Expect to have next to no friends unless there's a farm or something close by which I really doubt.

Which brings me to the next point...

4. Live off the land.

By eating what? Grass and leaves is it?

Unless you have a green thumb and a talent to grow vegetation, which most people are not or else you'd have your own greenhouse rather than buy things from the grocery store - then you're probably shit out of luck.

There goes your chance of getting delivery of pizza or burger cause I really doubt they'd wanna deliver your meal when you live in some godforsaken forest. Plus that totally doesn't count as living off the land unless you know, you grow the tomatoes & kill your own cows yourself.

So load up on canned food, instant & frozen ones too. Cause you're going to need that when you can't easily drive to the grocery store when you need things to eat/cook. Be prepared to slowly grow unhealthier by the day.

====================================

This whole living happily at some cabin in the woods is only safe when you live in some fairy tale alternate universe. Unfortunately in reality, there's far too many crazies for it to ever be entirely safe to live in a desolate place - even if you have lots of deadbolt locks on every door & window.

Haven't we have enough thriller movies to warn us that staying alone in a faraway place is the worst idea ever? Like the Hills Have Eyes 1 & 2, then there's also I Spit On Your Grave which I personally think is the worst one. Stressed throughout the whole movie I tell you.

So yeah, go stay in some cabin by the lake with no connection to the outside world via phone or internet. Then do your own thing while someone stalks you in the bushes for days and terrorize you whenever there is a chance, watch you as you sleep at night through your windows. In the midst of all of this you will feel the creepy feeling of someone watching your every move but never understood why or see anyone whenever you turn around.

Before you know it, one night while you're all alone at home just indulging in a book or dinner, everything goes black. Then when you finally come to, you're tied up and looking at the face of some inbred deformed person sneering creepily at you (if you're lucky then there is only one. but movies tell you otherwise and so does common sense).

If you're lucky, death will be granted quick. Though most of the times there will be plenty of nasty and torture in between before these people get bored - can go from a week to a month, maybe even a year. By then death is a gift because they might torture you slowly before killing you, chopping you up into pieces before being baked into a pie.

Though imagine.... They chop you up small piece by piece but still keep you alive, then after cooking you they also feed it back to you. Like in Hannibal.

OH MY FUDGE OF A JEEBUS!

I don't wanna be cooked into a pie. I love pie but I don' wanna eat my own flesh. Wtf maximum.

This is a sign that I should stop reading so many criminal novels & watch Hannibal so obsessively. Also I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that I have an overly active imagination, especially when it's not the rainbows & unicorns kind. Meep.
Until next time lovelies!

Zalora X Topshop & Topman Launch Party 2015

A few weeks ago, I was one of the few lucky Shoppr ambassadors invited to the Zalora / Topshop & Topman launch event. Safe to say that I am incredibly excited to know that one of my favourite brands is now available on Zalora, easier for me & my shopping needs. :3

Rushed home after work, I got myself ready to attend the event in APW, Bangsar where I met up with Becca & Nadia from Shopprapp. Already they looked dress to kill, so were the other girls that were attending the event with me.

After registration, each of us were given a goodie bag and inside are little surprises for us to take home. There was a Macaroon, a Rm50 gift card from Zalora & also a gift from Topshop/Topman which I guess is different in every bag. I spy some shopping time for me on Zalora some time soon, do you?

It was nice of them to provide drinks and canapes for all guests to nibble on while they mingled.

My choice of drink, Absolute Mango with Orange Juice.
With drink in hand, it was time for this hermit to wander around and mingle. Though truth be told, I was merely hanging around with Pearl, Madeleine & Abigail from Shoppr because they were the only ones I know there.

While we were exploring the space of the warehouse, there were waiters walking around with trays of food. Embarrassingly enough each tray caught my attention because I had not have time to eat dinner so I was rather hungry. The vainpot in me however constantly warned myself against eating anything because it's messy and it'll be a nightmare to stain my dress.

Still, I don't know if it was obvious on my face that I was hungry or something but the wait-staff kept walking towards us. Literally the same one would appear no more than five minutes after approaching us. Funny.

Tastes like fried char siew pao. But with beef?
Little bites of macaroni taco and roasted potato stack.
The atmosphere as a whole was quite chilled with DJ HypeEmBeats spinning amazing tracks in the background.

Wandering around, I spotted something in the back that caught my attention. Several pedestals were lined up together with headsets & these odd looking things

WHAT IS THIS SCI-FI LOOKING THING?
Quite interesting eh?

Pic credit goes to Tim Chew.
Well it's a virtual reality that Zalora specially created just for this event. When you put this on, you get a 360 view of the entire venue before the glitz & glamour. All you need to do is put it on as demonstrated by my sister and then look around. What you will see is not a room filled with fashionable people but instead, a whole different atmosphere altogether.

This is quite innovative of Zalora to create this specially for the collaboration with Topshop & Topman.

With Madeleine, Pearl & Abigail.
These girls are the few Shoppr ambassadors that I got to meet that night. They are literally the sweetest and most fashionable people that I've met in the longest time.

Also, I found out that night that Abigail is currently a student at MCKL. My old college! That brought back so many memories and there's even some that revolves around classes, specifically law & psychology.

Squad goals. Teehehehe.
We even got to meet our very own Amber Chia and posed for a picture together. Initially each of us just wanted an individual photo with the supermodel, but she was approached by another photographer and invited us to be in the shot with her too. :3 She's so sweet and down to earth which honestly surprised me.

I even got to catch up with my hot babe, Melissa. Whom I have not met in months since we're both busy with our own things.

This means we need more dinner & girl time! xp

A dress by no one. Shoes from Aldo which I love to death, even with it's near neck-breaking height.
Ten points to whoever that got that 'dress by no one' reference. I officially dub you to be an amazing person.

But no prize because.... Yeah.

Finally, gonna end the post by thanking Shoppr for the opportunity to attend this launch. It's been pretty amazing to be considered as one of the ambassadors among many other gorgeous girlies! Can't wait for more adventures with the team.

Plus this has also given me a chance to get to know incredibly sweet girls when I otherwise would not have. Cause ya know... A life of a social hermit. :3

So to join in on the fun, download the app now and share your gorgeous OOTDs with other girls because there's no reason it should go to waste. Download from the links below and follow me on amandalaurenlee, plus many other fashionable ladies.
